17-18.01.2017 - COM2 Protection of intellectual property, tutoring, Vilnius, LT
The two-day tutoring visit was devoted to sharing of good practices in the field of intellectual property, with a particular focus on pre-trial investigations in criminal cases and the role of NGOs in fighting intellectual property infringements . The tutoring was meant to put the basis for effective implementation of national strategies and action plans in the field of countering counterfeit goods. Representatives of all 6 EaP countries took part in the event.
23-27.01.2017 - France / Ukraine – Activity 1.1.2 Seminar on professional ethics and combating corruption, Kiev, UA
A follow-up seminar was dedicated to the fight against corruption within the law enforcement authorities. French and Swedish experts started with a presentation on the state of corruption in their respective societies, recent legislative developments, successful countermeasures and public-private partnership.
A general introduction was followed by specific training on control system and counter measures during the recruitment process and career development within the law enforcement service. During the final, third day of seminar a representative of the EUAM gave a presentation on the achievements, challenges and mission’s role in the field of anti-corruption reform in Ukraine.
23-27.01.2017 - Poland / Armenia – Activity 6.2 Study visit to Warsaw on THB, Warsaw
The four-day seminar was the closing event of whole chapter 6 dedicated to fighting with trafficking in human beings. The training focused on the rights of victims issues, a new tools to combat various forms of trafficking of human beings as well as combating sexual exploitation of women in Poland – a case study.
The tutors presented in details all aspects of combating illegal adoptions, forced begging and worked with the participants in a workshop format. The participants had a chance to visit all the institutions involved in fighting trafficking in Poland and meet with the respective NGO’s and Polish Border Guard representatives. The Armenian police officers also visited the Police School in Legionowo in order to see the lectures on THB for young policemen.
30-31.01.2017 - COM2 Ethics and combating corruption, tutoring, Berlin, DE
The two-day tutoring focused on identifying the difficulties and gaps in beneficiaries’ law systems and procedures concerning ethics and combating corruption. The participants from five countries worked on selected aims in the workshop format.
30.01-03.02.2017 - Lithuania / Georgia - Activity 2.2 International cooperation and SPOC, Vilnius, LE
The five-day training on international cooperation and functioning of SPOCs has started in January and will be continued in February. It has covered the following aspects of the international police cooperation: structure, role and competences of SPOC, cooperation with Interpol, Europol, SIRENE, introduction of IT solutions, organisation of 24/7front desk, cooperation with judicial authorities and other law enforcement agencies.
