  Completed

The "Success in Your Own Business" project was completed in June 2018. In January of this year, the Voivodeship Employment Office in Łódź (Intermediary Unit) confirmed the project's full and correct settlement. The project involved training 80 participants in starting and running a business, awarding 65 grants for starting a business , and providing monthly financial support for running the business for 12 months. Eighty-three people were accepted into the project, 42 of whom were long-term unemployed and benefited from the support offered.

The projected number of grants awarded exceeded 67. Various businesses were established in Łódź and throughout the Łódź Voivodeship, including tailoring services, physiotherapy, landscaping, a children's soccer school, beauty salons, educational activities, car repair shops, carpentry services, dietary bar production, and a massage parlor.

As part of their monitoring visits, the project team visited all the entrepreneurs, allowing them to see the newly established companies and verify the correctness of the grant funds being spent. The plan was implemented!

The "Success in Your Own Business" project was co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Regional Operational Programme of the Lodz Voivodeship for 2014-2020. It is dedicated to people who are over 30 years of age, unemployed and in the most difficult situation on the labour market, i.e. people aged 50+, women, disabled people, long-term unemployed and low-skilled people.

Additional Information

The project will involve 80 people, including at least 55 women, as women are in a worse situation on the labor market and are less professionally active.

The aim of the project is to increase the employment level of people who will be accepted into the project through various forms of support.

Before starting a business, participants will participate in a mandatory training and consulting session aimed at improving their knowledge of running a business, formal and legal requirements, business plan preparation, and developing the soft skills essential for entrepreneurship. To facilitate participation in the sessions, reimbursement of travel and dependent care costs will be provided.

The project provides 65 participants with a non-repayable financial grant of up to PLN 22,700 to start their own business. Additionally, entrepreneurs will receive financial support of up to PLN 1,500 per month for 12 months of business operation to cover running costs. They will also receive individual consulting support to support their business, such as marketing and accounting.

The project is implemented from June 1, 2016 to January 31, 2018.
