Additional Information

For whom?

Education loans are a project aimed at adults living in Poland who want to develop their skills and competences.

There are no additional conditions, e.g. those related to place of residence, employment status, age or gender.

People who receive a loan must have the ability to repay it – i.e. appropriate income or provide appropriate security for the loan.

Loans are available to both employed people (under any form of employment or civil law contracts), as well as self-employed and unemployed people (unemployed, on parental leave, etc.).

For what?

Loans apply only to new forms of education, i.e. those that have not yet started on the date of application.

Only the costs of the form of education paid directly to the educational institution may be covered from the loan funds; any additional costs incurred by the Participant/Borrower, e.g. travel, accommodation, teaching materials, etc., are not subject to financing.

Under the project, persons with full legal capacity may apply for a loan intended solely for postgraduate studies, courses, training and other forms of adult education offered by domestic and foreign entities (except for first, second and third cycle studies), lasting no longer than 24 months.

Education can cover any topic/area and can be implemented in any form (training, studies, workshops, etc.) – it DOES NOT HAVE TO involve the acquisition of new professional qualifications.

Write-offs

The borrower has the right to partial forgiveness of the loan, which in total cannot exceed 25% of its value.

To obtain a 20% write-off , i.e. to proportionally shorten the loan period by writing off the last installments – it is enough to confirm the completion of the education financed by the loan with a positive result – an appropriate document from the educational institution (certificate, certificate, diploma, etc.)

The borrower also has the option of obtaining additional write-off of an additional 5% of the loan amount provided that he or she meets the following criteria:

  • In the case of employed and self-employed persons, additional write-off occurs when the average income from the last 3 months (employed persons) or the average monthly income from the last 12 months (self-employed persons) is lower than the average monthly gross salary in the national economy on the day of submitting the loan application.
  • In the case of unemployed persons, additional cancellation occurs when the borrower takes up employment within 6 months of completing education.

Additional redemption is only available in conjunction with basic redemption , i.e. after the conditions for basic redemption have been met.

The Borrower is not entitled to basic and additional write-offs in the event of:

  • termination of the loan agreement,
  • failure to complete the intended form of education.
