Are there standards for equal opportunities for women and men in our daily lives? And what about in the workplace? Is equality in business a pipe dream, a fad, or a real need, a goal worth striving for? Does gender matter in business?
The “Art of Equality” exhibition is the culmination of the project “Equal Opportunities in Business,” implemented by the Cooperation Fund Foundation in partnership with the Institute of Public Affairs, the Gender Equality Observatory, and the Lewiatan Confederation. Its aim is to draw public attention to the essence of the phenomenon of (in)equality of opportunities for women and men in various areas of life, including access to employment, career development, and work-life balance.
How do men and women manage to achieve work-life balance? Is there such a thing as gendered pay? Is a reversal of social roles possible? The terminology surrounding this topic is rich: work-life balance, equal language, gender equality, the principle of equal pay, equal division of roles… Is equality a utopia, and is it worth striving for?
In 2018, the Cooperation Fund Foundation announced a nationwide competition for the best poster on this topic. The “Art of Equality” exhibition presents 20 of the most interesting artistic commentaries on this topic.
