The Steering Committee of the “Police Cooperation with Eastern Partnership Countries” project met in Chisinau on October 15, 2015. The meeting, chaired by the European Commission, was attended by representatives of all countries participating in the project. The program encompasses a four-year cycle of activities aimed at transferring knowledge, standards, and good practices from EU countries to Eastern Partnership countries in combating organized crime. The project, funded by the European Commission, also aims to strengthen cooperation between EU and Eastern Partnership law enforcement agencies, as well as support cooperation within the Eastern Partnership countries themselves.

The consortium comprises the internal security institutions of Poland, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, and Lithuania. The project is financed by the European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument program, and its beneficiaries are the Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. The project’s main goal is to increase cooperation in the fight against cross-border organized crime between the police forces of the Eastern Partnership countries and the European Union, as well as cooperation between relevant services within the Eastern Partnership.
