On 17 August 2026, the 1st round of the 4th call for the “Social Bonus” project, run by the Co-operation Fund Foundation, officially opened. Local governments can now apply for grants to develop social services delivered by social economy entities.
More funding, better terms
In this round, local government units can receive up to PLN 800,000 in total, with the grant covering up to 95% of the value of the social services provided – the local government’s own contribution is just 5%. This gives municipalities and counties greater scope to develop social services that respond to their residents’ real needs, by commissioning social economy entities to deliver them.
A new feature of the 4th call is the option to allocate up to 5% of the grant to fund a specialist responsible for cooperation with social economy entities. This is an optional solution that local governments may choose to use. Services can be implemented and settled until 31 May 2029.
What does the “Social Bonus” offer?
The project provides more than financial support. Local governments also receive substantive support – advisory services, training, webinars and study visits designed to help them plan and implement effective cooperation with social economy entities.
Applications – open until 16 September
Applications for the 1st round can be submitted from 17 August to 16 September 2026, exclusively through the online application generator. It’s worth not leaving preparations until the last minute – if a local government is unable to submit an application in the first round, the next opportunity will open on 12 October 2026.
Full competition documentation is available on the project website.
