Project description:
The main goal of the project is to develop and implement solutions aimed at expanding knowledge, improving skills and competences of managers over 45 years of age who are not employed and those employed in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
One of the identified problems is the low level of activity in improving the skills and qualifications of people over 45, as well as the lack of solutions aimed at maintaining the professional activity of this group. Employees aged 45 and over, primarily managers, possess valuable specialized knowledge and skills, often possessing expert knowledge, although they are not always willing or able to share it. A particular challenge for every company is the outflow of competent employees aged 45 and over, who have accumulated the knowledge and skills necessary to perform tasks and perform specific functions. The lack of tools and a support system for the professional activity of people 45 and over results in the continuous outflow of older workers from the labor market.
Such a process, in the long term, cannot be beneficial for any economy. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce a comprehensive support system for people aged 45 and over, which should include measures to maintain professional activity for those aged 45 and over. Such measures are being undertaken with great effectiveness in EU countries. The project involves the transfer, adaptation, and implementation of solutions developed from the successfully implemented Italian "Professional Faculty" program. The program was developed and implemented by the Italian Business School-ISTUD Fondazione Istud.
The project established a Transnational Expert Forum consisting of representatives of domestic partners, representatives of foreign partners, and representatives of training institutions. The PFE's responsibilities include:
- getting to know the Italian model during a study visit to Milan
- Diagnosis of training needs of managers aged 45+ in order to change their professional profile
- Work on adapting the Italian model to Polish conditions
- Developing recommendations for institutions that will implement and use the developed solutions
The result of the project will be a model consisting of the "Become a trainer" program, which is a combination of training and coaching sessions, the "Train the trainer" methodological material and a tool for self-assessment of coaching/mentoring competences of managers 45+.
