The Masovian Advisory Support Center project is implemented by the Cooperation Fund Foundation in cooperation with the Association of Polish Cities, and its aim is to strengthen the competences of local government units that are part of local government partnerships in Masovia by providing advisory services.
Thanks to a thorough assessment of the needs of six Functional Urban Areas (FUAs), we will strengthen the competences of local government units in the areas of Radom, Płock, Ostrołęka, Siedlce, Ciechanów, and Żyrardów to strategically manage their development. The total value of the project is PLN 3 million.
The detailed scope of project activities includes: facilitating closer cooperation between local government units in the Functional Area, strengthening strategic management mechanisms, support in preparing applications for co-financing of integrated projects included in territorial strategies intended for financing under the Masovian Structural Territorial Investments, training and workshops for staff involved in the process of implementing territorial strategies/supra-local development, and exchange of experiences between partnerships.
Each of the five categories of advisory activities for local governments will be implemented using three types of tools: advisory services, training or workshops, and networking meetings. The project will leverage experience from a previous nationwide project of the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy – the Advisory Support Center (CWD ).
"This project is an opportunity to continue our existing efforts to better integrate municipalities within the same area," says Daniel Prędkopowicz, Project Management Director at FFW. "The development of local partnerships is particularly beneficial for small municipalities that are unable to meet the challenges of modern times on their own," adds Jarosław Komża from the Association of Polish Cities.
