On January 13th, the Cooperation Fund Foundation hosted a blood drive, organized in collaboration with the Regional Blood Donation and Blood Treatment Center in Warsaw and the National Ecological-Social Movement. Of the over 50 potential donors who expressed their willingness to donate blood, 17 were ultimately selected. A sweet surprise awaited everyone who visited the Foundation that day, prepared by the “Rodzinna” Social Cooperative in Radom. This was the first campaign of its kind organized by the Foundation. As a result, over 9 liters of blood were collected. On behalf of the organizers, we sincerely thank everyone who participated in this endeavor. Drives like this one help address the chronic shortages of this precious medicine, saving many lives.
The Regional Blood Donation and Blood Treatment Center in Warsaw supplies blood and blood components to over 100 medical facilities operating primarily in the Masovian Voivodeship. Recipients include hospitals, clinics, and institutes performing thousands of complex surgeries, transplants, and other procedures requiring blood.
Encouraged by the numerous positive reviews, the organizers from the Cooperation Fund Foundation are planning to organize further blood drives on a more regular basis. The next one is scheduled for June of this year. Information about the event will be regularly updated on our website – we invite you to join us!
