On April 23, we celebrate World Book Day – therefore, the Foundation held its third literary knowledge competition. The contest was conceived and the questions were written by Agnieszka Luck, head of the Educational Projects Department at FFW, a literature enthusiast herself. According to participants, who participated for the third time, this year’s questions were challenging and required extensive knowledge of Polish and world literature.
Three-person teams comprised of FFW employees participated in the contest. At the Foundation’s special invitation, employees of the Academic Business Incubators also decided to participate. A total of nine teams competed. Ultimately, after a fierce competition, the title of FFW 2017 Literature Champions was awarded to Izabela Kowalska, Ania Jankowska, and Ewa Smolarek from the Educational Projects Department. The prizes for the quiz were books of their choice.
The contest is not the only initiative at FFW promoting reading. For two years, the Foundation has been running a thriving Green Bookshelf program, which allows employees to share reading material. In the large collection that has been collected so far, everyone will find something for themselves – from horror stories to school reading.
