Invitation to conferences concluding projects on social economy in Mazovia

After three years of implementation by the Cooperation Fund Foundation, in partnership with the National Economic and Social Movement and selected local governments, two twin projects supporting individuals facing challenges in the labor market in the Ostrołęka and Radom subregions are coming to an end.

Therefore, on behalf of the partners implementing the projects “Innovative System for Supporting the Development of the Social Economy in the Ostrołęka Subregion” and “Innovative System for Supporting the Development of the Social Economy in Southern Mazovia,” we invite you to two separate conferences:

A conference summarizing the Ostrołęka subregion project will be held on November 24, 2015, at the Municipal Information Center (Cultural Center) in Długosiodło, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Registration form

November 26, 2015, at the Local Activity Center in Pionki, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. 10:00 – 14:00 a.m. there will be a conference summarizing the project from the Radom subregion: Registration form In total, both projects involved several thousand people facing difficult life circumstances, as well as hundreds of institutions and organizations from the Ostrołęka and Radom subregions. Over the course of three years, they received funding, knowledge, expert guidance, as well as inspiration for change and support for development. As a result:

24 social cooperatives were established, employing approximately 110 people.

14 local partnerships were established in Różan, Ostrołęka, Czerwin, Goworów, Maków Mazowiecki, Długosiodle, Kowali, Klwów, Iłża, Alojzów, and Radom.

Nearly 1,300 people were trained (specialized training).

28 study visits to thriving social cooperatives were held.

For three years, people interested in social entrepreneurship could use four local Information and Advisory Points in the local governments that were project partners: Długosiodle, Kozienice, Pionki, and Szydłowiec. The Mobile Social Economy Support Point conducted 130 information campaigns.

The conference will include workshops on “Challenges of Entrepreneurship and Social Engagement – Can It Be Better?” with the participation of leaders from local, local government, non-governmental, and business communities, as well as other sectors, and a panel discussion on local needs that will form the basis for developing new projects under the 2014-2020 perspective.
