Students will return to school in just one month. We want schools to be welcoming to all. That’s why we’re now highlighting the results of the “Accessible School” project, which the Cooperation Fund Foundation implemented from 2019 to 2023.
Thanks to our efforts, local governments received grants to finance activities that improve broadly defined accessibility in primary schools. As a result, 78 primary schools improved, and often implemented, accessibility standards from scratch.
The developed standards are not specific to people with disabilities but represent universal solutions. We’ve included information on what can be improved in this regard in Polish schools in the project publication, “Accessible School Model.”
The project results include videos published on the website (including versions with audio description). A Walk Through an Accessible School – Newly Constructed Building – Audio Description
