On December 5-6, another meeting of the Social(i)Makers project partners took place in Maribor, Slovenia. This time, it was a meeting of representatives of the Technical Advisory Board and a group of external experts. The foundation was represented by Dorota Nowicka and Katarzyna Jagiełło. The main goal of the meeting was to develop syllabus outlines for MOOCs, or massive open online courses, which will be a key part of the “Social(i)Makers Launchpad”—an international educational program in the field of social innovation, which will be the most important outcome of the Social(i)Makers project. The online course “Social Innovation Design Academy” will consist of 7 modules. They will cover 7 aspects of the national and international social innovation ecosystem: civic participation; stakeholder engagement; social impact assessment of projects; policies, strategies and instruments supporting social innovation; social business development; impact investing; and leveraging technology for social innovation.
