We are pleased to announce that in July, we completed the lengthy process of signing grant agreements for the Accessible School project.
Following a competitive process in which over 120 school governing bodies participated, we signed agreements with 43 of them!
The total value of grants we will pay out (or have already paid out) is PLN 54,068,969.06.
Accessible School is a project implemented by the Cooperation Fund Foundation with support from the Foundation of the Institute of Regional Development, under the Knowledge Education Development Operational Programme, as a pilot project of the “Schools Without Barriers” initiative and is part of the Accessibility Plus programme financed by the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy from the European Social Fund.
The aim of this pilot project is to develop and test the Accessible School Model (model.dostepnaszkola.info). Eighty-eight mainstream, integrated, and special primary schools will participate in this test phase, and thanks to the grants, these schools will increase their accessibility!
These include small rural schools, schools in medium-sized towns, and large schools in large urban areas.
The Accessible School program covers 12 voivodeships and all 7 macroregions.
