After many months of negotiations, the Government reached an agreement with the European Commission regarding the #EU budget for Poland for 2021–2027.
The compromise reached ushers in a new financial allocation for #EuropeanFunds. Poland will use approximately PLN 350 billion from cohesion policy. This is the largest amount of money in the entire #EU.
The Polish Partnership Agreement budget consists of five EU funds, which will finance individual national, regional, and cross-border programs, as well as other support mechanisms. These are:
European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) – €47.4 billion
European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) – €12.9 billion
Cohesion Fund (CF) – €11.3 billion
Just Transition Fund (JTF) – €3.8 billion
European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFF) – €0.5 billion
The Partnership Agreement for 2021-2027 will be implemented based on specific forms of support for individuals, companies, and local government units. It assumes the continuation of existing national programs, sixteen regional programs, and cross-border and transnational cooperation programs.
Eight new national programs are currently in the detailed agreement phase:
European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and Environment (FEnIKS) – €24 billion
European Funds for a Modern Economy (FENG) – €8 billion
European Funds for Digital Development (FERC) – €2 billion
European Funds for Eastern Poland (FEPW) – €2.6 billion
European Funds for Social Development (FERS) – €4 billion
Technical Assistance for European Funds (PTFE) – €550 million
European Funds for Fisheries (PFER) – €512 million
European Funds for Food Aid (FEPŻ) – €525 million.
