On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, the Golden Floor Tower Conference Center in Warsaw hosted a conference entitled “HR 2019: law, inspirations, tools” – organized by the Lewiatan Confederation and the Cooperation Fund Foundation as part of the “Equal opportunities in business” project. The conference focused on current topics related to employee recruitment and the development of the labor market in Poland. Attendees were presented with key legal changes related to HR policy that came into effect in 2019 (the so-called GDPR regulations). The Employee Capital Plans (PPK) program was also introduced as an optional element of employee compensation systems, simultaneously increasing employer attractiveness. A new feature was the presentation of a ready-made tool for measuring the pay gap in a company, as well as an e-learning tool for creating a friendly, effective, and modern work environment. Another important theme of the conference was the discussion on equal pay for women and men, along with presentations from companies that have achieved success in this area.
The conference was part of the project “Equal Opportunities in Business – A Practical Tool for Implementing the Principle of Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in Enterprises,” a continuation of an initiative implemented by the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Policy from 2013 to 2015. The project, scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2019, aims to strengthen the position of women in the workplace, equalize their opportunities in economic decision-making, and is primarily aimed at medium-sized companies.
Project partnership: Cooperation Fund Foundation, Factory of Good Practices, and the Institute of Public Affairs. The project is financed by the European Social Fund under the Knowledge Education Development Operational Programme 2014-2020.
The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy is the honorary patron.
