Position: specialist (junior researcher)
Working hours: 0.5 – 1.0 full-time
Form of employment: employment contract
Salary: PLN 6,000 – 8,000

Job Description: A candidate interested in the functioning of local government and innovative methods of implementing public policy at the local level, possessing core competencies in qualitative data analysis, research process design and implementation, and the ability to present research results (in person and in writing). A key element of this position's responsibilities will be to facilitate and support the service design processes and the development of new IT tools used in the implementation of FFW projects.

Main tasks:
Collaboration in designing research methodologies and tools,

● Conducting individual and group interviews throughout Poland.
● Support in the analysis of collected data and preparation of reports.
● Active participation in team meetings and knowledge sharing.
● Participation in conceptual work on the theory of interventions undertaken and tested at FFW.

Requirements:
● Education: Completed master's degree (sociology, political science, public policy studies, public administration, European studies, psychology or related).
● Skills:
○ Good knowledge of qualitative research methodology.
○ Practical skills in conducting IDI and FGI interviews.
○ Ability to create interview scripts.
○ Ability to design research based on existing data and search for information in publicly available databases.
○ Good skills in using office software (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation programs).
○ Good knowledge of English.
● Substantive knowledge (basic):
○ Cooperation between NGOs and local government administration in Poland, including the social economy (basic legal acts, strategic documents, examples of activities)
○ The system of local government in Poland,
○ Social policy and development policy (basic legal acts, shape of systemic solutions),
○ Knowledge about the shape and basic principles of implementing European funds in Poland.
● Soft skills: Communication skills, ability to work in a team, independence, responsibility, creativity, cognitive curiosity, good work organization, accuracy.
● Experience required:
○ Participation in at least two research projects resulting in publicly available reports/articles.

Welcome:
● Knowledge of qualitative/quantitative data analysis programs.
● Basic knowledge of design thinking and service design methodology.
