On Thursday, July 19, together with the Stocznia Foundation, we organized a meeting summarizing two projects co-financed by the City of Warsaw: “Seniors – act and change your city” implemented by the Cooperation Fund Foundation and the Jeden Muranów Foundation, and “AS in the participatory budget” implemented by the Stocznia Foundation. The closing conference took place at the Nowolipie Intergenerational Activity Center. At the beginning of the event, we presented a brief summary of our projects – the activities we had implemented and their achievements. We then showed a short film about seniors’ participation in the Participatory Budgeting (BP), which was created as part of a mini-project within the “Seniors – Take Action and Change Your City!” project.
An important part of the program was thanking our wonderful seniors and volunteers who bravely participated in the project activities. We are very pleased that most of them participated in this event.
We presented both groups with gift bags and certificates. Agata Bluj from the Stocznia Foundation then presented the joint conclusions from the activities carried out in both projects. Finally, we invited our guests to a discussion on seniors’ participation in participatory budgeting – how to be more effective in encouraging this group to participate in this process and how to reach those who are not active.
