Starting today, you can register for the free Social Innovation Academy course, available as a MOOC (massive open online course) on the Teachable platform: https://social-innovation-academy.teachable.com/ The MOOC will launch on September 10th. Registered participants will receive an email reminder and other useful information in advance.
The content of the 7-module course was developed jointly by the Social(i)Makers project partners over the past few months. The course covers a broad spectrum of topics related to the creation and implementation of social innovations – from the theory of innovation creation, through project financing options, formal and legal issues, stakeholder engagement, to the necessity and methods of estimating the effect/impact of social innovations. The course is dedicated to anyone interested in social innovation – social activists, originators, implementers, beneficiaries, investors, policymakers, and legal and regulatory developers, among others.
Participants will be able to complete any number of modules. In addition to the online format, the “Social Innovation Academy” program also includes on-site workshops in each of the partner countries. In Poland, the workshops will be held in Poznań. The other Polish project partner, the Regional Social Policy Center in Poznań, will oversee their delivery.
The opening of the Social Innovation Academy will be accompanied by national events promoting the course. Two events are planned: 1) September 10th of this year – a thematic session entitled “Social Innovation: The Future of the Region” during the Regional Social Economy Conference as part of “European Social Economy Regions 2018” in Poznań; and 2) September 15th of this year – a festival of innovation and social innovators as part of NGO Day, also in Poznań.
We encourage everyone interested in social innovation to follow the latest news about the SI Academy and related events (https://www.interreg-central.eu/Content.Node/Social(i)Makers.html) and, above all, to register for the free course.
