The aim of the Forest School Center project is to develop, test and implement a model of teacher education in forest pedagogy /Forest School Pedagogy/ to activate teachers, counteract burnout and work in the spirit of the Forest School idea by transferring a solution implemented in Germany.
The project responds to the specific objective of PO WER in terms of implementing new solutions, in particular in the field of professional activation, lifelong learning, and increasing the participation of men in the education of children at the primary school stage, thanks to cooperation with a foreign partner.
Forest School Center is a new model service not currently provided in Poland, crucial for the modern policy of the primary education system, addressed to a group of teachers interested in holistic and outdoor education.
The project includes three study visits to the German partner in 2019 for expert trainers, as well as a training program for 24 participants – forest kindergarten teachers (May 2019 – June 2020), including 14 three-day training workshops, webinars, internships in forest kindergartens, and individual coaching. A manual will also be developed, along with recommendations and instructions for implementing the developed model.
