Mazovia Locally is a program that, since 2014, has aimed to increase the involvement of Mazovian residents in public life and in their communities, both in small towns with limited access to material resources and in large cities. Supporting animation and educational activities within local communities. This year, 269 applications were submitted to the competition. Due to the current situation in the country, the organizers decided to cancel traditional meetings with applicants at local competition committees and moved this stage to virtual meetings.
Over 250 people presented their projects during 13 committee meetings, which lasted nearly 60 hours. In the second stage, 21 experts evaluated 134 projects!
In 2020, we funded 91 projects.
Congratulations to the groups and organizations that made the list. This year, the following amounts were allocated to Microgrants (broken down by track):
PLN 215,555 for grassroots initiatives
PLN 203,554 for organizational development
PLN 17,050 for supporting self-help groups
The final score is based on the total points from the first and second stages of the competition. To select projects for funding, a ranking list was first prepared of projects to be implemented in municipalities not yet covered by the Mazowsze Lokalnie program. According to the competition rules, these are prioritized (so-called “white spots”). 25% of the projects that received funding were selected from this list. Funding was then allocated to the next best projects until the funding allocation was exhausted.
The competition was co-financed by the National Institute of Freedom – Centre for the Development of Civil Society from the Civic Initiatives Fund Program and by the Mazowieckie Voivodeship Government.
