They can take various forms, including cooperative banks, mutual insurance companies, cooperatives, guarantee funds, social and community enterprises, regional development agencies, associations, and foundations.
“Social entrepreneurship – it’s addictive,” says Majka Lipiak, an entrepreneur and social innovator, President of the Board of the I Lie and Work Foundation – the first marketing agency established to provide employment to people with physical disabilities. At approximately 10:15 a.m., Majka will deliver a lecture entitled “Social Entrepreneurship, or… what?” during Social Economy Day, during which she will attempt to introduce the concept of social economy.
The “Zorientowani” Social Economy Cluster is an initiative bringing together thirteen social enterprises from the Radom subregion. During Social Economy Day, organizations will introduce themselves to the audience during a short presentation at approximately 10:45 AM, explaining their activities.
As part of Social Economy Day, parallel panel discussions will also be held at approximately 11:45 AM, with the participation of social economy practitioners, experts, and representatives of local government units.
The first panel, aimed at social organizations, entitled “How to Convince Local Government to Collaborate,” will be moderated by Jakub Kamiński from the Żyrardów Service Center, a local community organizer and President of the Żyradów Federation of Social Organizations “Działaj.My.”
The second panel, entitled “Social Economy and Local Government? It Benefits Everyone!”, will be moderated by Bohdan Skrzypczyk, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Social Prevention and Resocialization at the University of Warsaw. The panel will be addressed to representatives of local government units. The special guest will be the Mayor of Starachowice, Marek Materek.
The organizers of the 3rd Social Economy Day in Radom are: the Cooperation Fund Foundation, the Masovian Social Economy Support Center, and social enterprises belonging to the “Zorientowani” Social Economy Cluster: Gospoda Jaskółeczka Social Enterprise Sp. z o.o., Radomierz Sp. z o.o., the Creative Innovation Foundation, the Pierrot i Róża Social Cooperative, the Droga Życia Foundation, the Rodzina Razem 2015 Association, the Razem Association for Disabled People, the Przyjaźni Association for Assistance to Disabled People, the Orzeł i Taszka Association, the Przystanek Kozienice Social Cooperative, the Dobry Duszek Foundation, the Radomskie Foundation, and the “Nowe Perspektywy” Association for Supporting Families.
