On January 12th and 13th, 2015, the first in a series of eight two-day workshops was held by the Cooperation Fund Foundation, as part of the “Integrated Social Economy Support System” project, for OWES business advisors who have declared their willingness to undergo accreditation and who did not participate in the previous edition of the OWES staff competency development program.
Twenty-two advisors are participating in the program. The workshops are being held in Warsaw at the Holiday Park Hotel. As in the previous edition, the program organizers are planning an exam for participants, consisting of a defense of their business plan, and certificates of participation will be awarded to participants at the end of the course. The next two-day workshop is planned for February 2nd and 3rd, 2015. In December of last year, an updated Application for Funding for the “Integrated Social Economy Support System” project was signed, extending some of the tasks previously implemented within the aforementioned project until June 2015.
Among the tasks being continued is the one carried out by the Cooperation Fund Foundation, related to preparing OWES advisors to implement new business standards in the context of the developed AKSES accreditation system. The OWES staff competency development program was implemented as part of the same project from September 2012 to June 2013.
The current, updated version of the training for OWES advisors specifically highlights the requirements of the standard in the current version of the document entitled “Standards for Social Economy Support Centers,” adopted by the Accreditation Committee in September 2014. Project activities will continue until the end of June 2015 and will comprise a total of 128 hours of training.
