Social initiatives can be submitted to the Citizens’ Website until January 30th, which will allow them to participate in the competition for the President of the Republic of Poland’s Citizens’ Award.

The Foundation has supported this initiative from its inception – for the third consecutive year. The President of the Republic of Poland’s Citizens’ Award is intended to recognize outstanding, innovative, and effective civic initiatives for the common good, which can serve as role models. “We sincerely encourage you to submit your initiatives to the Civic Website. Created under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, the Website is a constantly expanding collection presenting good practices in social activism,” says Jacek Ostrowski, Board Member of the Cooperation Fund Foundation and member of the Presidential Civic Award Committee.

The Civic Website collects initiatives in three categories:

Civic Community – for municipalities and counties that will enable their residents to participate in public tasks to the greatest extent possible;
Local Government Partnership – for local government units that will cooperate most effectively and develop role models for others;
Local Citizen Initiative – for civic organizations or individuals who have made a special contribution to the common good.

The official presentation of the Civic Award of the President of the Republic of Poland takes place annually on the occasion of Local Government Day.
