Local animation, job subsidies, grants, study visits, and specialized support in creating and developing social economy entities – these are just some of the things you’ve known us for for years. But it’s time to take a step forward! Over the next few months, we’ll be preparing many new events for the residents of Mazovia, such as Open Days at Social Economy Entities, numerous outdoor events, and social campaigns. All of this aims to give social entrepreneurship in the region another strong boost and an increasingly visible presence in the market. Because you’ll get to know social economy best with mOWES! The development of existing and new services and initiatives for the development of the social economy – mentioned above – is possible thanks to the support of the “Discover the Social Economy with mOWES” project, financed by the Masovian Voivodeship budget. The project, which will run until the end of 2025, aims to increase awareness of the existence and role of the social economy among Masovian residents, particularly in the Ciechanów, Ostrołęka, and Radom subregions.
The development and popularization of the social economy concept will be achieved through educational and outreach activities (outdoor events, animation meetings, training sessions, study visits), engagement activities (Social Economy Open Days, specialist consulting), and promotional and communication activities (information campaigns, publishing activities).
By implementing the activities included in the project, we aim to reach not only residents of the Masovian Voivodeship who have not yet engaged in the development of the social economy, but also social economy entities already operating in the market, young, developing non-governmental organizations, and the entire social economy environment – local government units and their organizational units.
We hope that the project will raise awareness of the role and effects of the social economy, leading to increased employment in social enterprises and the number of entities providing social services locally. From the beginning of 2024, we will offer significant funding for new jobs in social enterprises.
